Our admissions are handled by Derby City Council. Further details and the admissions handbook are available on-line at http://www.derby.gov.uk/ or by calling the Admissions team on 01332 642729.

Admissions to Reception Class for those reaching their 5th birthday by 31st August in the next school year

There is a cut-off date for applications in the middle of January each year for entry in the following September– please see the admissions handbook mentioned above for the exact date. We have an admissions limit of 60 children into our Reception Year and the school is normally over-subscribed. There are short tours of the school during October, November and December when you will have the opportunity to talk to the Headteacher and see the classrooms and other facilities. Please call the school office on 01332 514052 from mid-September onwards to book a visit.

 Admissions to other year groups

Applications must be made to Derby City Council – please see the contact details above. We are happy to answer queries as to the current number of pupils we have in each year group but you must contact the Council for the up to date position and to make an application – there may be other applications currently being processed that we are unaware of. Re:  School Admissions Appeals - Reception and Junior Transfers for September 2021-2022

 

As you will be aware National Offer Day for Reception and Junior Transfers is on Thursday 16 April 2021; we will no doubt have a number of parents wishing to appeal for school places and so in readiness I can confirm the following timetable:

 

National Offer Day for Reception/Junior Places

Thursday 16 April 2021

Closing date for all Reception and Junior school appeals which DCC are processing

Friday 28 May 2021

Reception/Junior School hearing dates for appeals which DCC are processing

To be heard w/c Monday 21 June 2021 through to w/c 19 July 2021

 

For Community and Voluntary Controlled Schools we will issue appeal forms and advise parents of the deadlines, for those Academies who buy into our Appeals Sold Service please let parents know of the closing date when handing out your appeal forms and notes of guidance.

 

Appeals received after the closing date can still be processed and heard, however they may not be a part of the block hearings and may be scheduled at a later date.
